I had a lovely, authentic meal at Nna Principi in Cefalù. The fish of the day was incredibly fresh, grilled to perfection, and full of flavor—simple yet satisfying. We also enjoyed a delicious half-liter of house wine, and to top it off, their desserts were outstanding, especially the local specialties. The best part? Everything was very, very affordable. It’s a gem for those looking to enjoy local cuisine without the tourist prices. Highly recommended for a real Sicilian experience! I believe one of the owners is the waiter
What a stroke of luck finding this gem in Cefalu! The hostess and waitress (Anastasia) could not have been nicer. Her smile and quick introduction to the menu convinced us we should go in today. Then she recommended their Caponata and Bruschetta and we quickly realized why we were meant to eat at this wonderful little restaurant. The Caponata was the best I've ever had anywhere. Anastasia then shared that the gnocchi was her favorite thing on the menu, which we ordered along with grilled vegetables. The food was fantastic and the prices very reasonable! I asked Anastasia who was the chef that prepared the caponata. Just then Mariella emerged, shared that she was the chef, and explained proudly that she was taught by her dear mother. She makes this wonderful appetizer every day. We will definitely be back to 'Nna Principe', as it's my new favorite restaurant in Sicily!
Stopped into Nna Principi after a stroll around town. Asked if they did Pizza for takeaway. They accommodated us, poured us drinks while we waited, a nice cold Messina beer and made a lovely Hugo Sptiz for my wife. We drank at the bar and chatted to the owner while our pizzas were made. When we got the pizza’s, a Nna Principi and a Focaccia Del Rey, they were absolutely incredible. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. For what we had, and the way they treated us, it’s just a shame we go home tomorrow, or we’d be back there for a proper sit down meal in a heartbeat.
My family and I stopped to eat here after a day in Cefalu. There were 17 people in our family, and they moved tables and rearranged things so we could all sit together, which was really nice because we had to sit apart at most restaurants. They treated us like family, not only delivering us delicious food course after course, but taking the time to talk to us. They even spent time talking to my 10 year old son and complimenting his eyes and hair. We felt so welcomed by everyone, and it was a dining highlight of our time in Sicily!
Everything was amazing. Food and local vine were delicious. Staff was very kind & helpful. I ate lassagne al forno and my friend ate spagetti with sardines.
We had the BEST experience at this restaurant!!! It was definitely one of our favorite parts of the trip to Sicily. We had a large party of 17 people, and they moved all the chairs and tables around to accommodate us, and we didn’t even have a reservation! We had antipasti, first and second courses, and finished off our meal with dessert. This was some of the best food we ate on the entire trip. The employees were kind, fun and thoughtful people. If you are planning a trip to Sicily and you are visiting the city of Cefalù, I would 100% recommend adding this restaurant to the agenda!
If you’re looking for an Italian family atmosphere with a fantastic menu and welcoming staff don’t think twice. The hostess was so attentive and friendly and the food was out of this world.
Nice family run restaurant. Very friendly atmosphere. The food was very good maybe one of the best caponata we tasted but the house wine and coffee was not good.
